Strategy: Release Servant-Leaders to Reproduce (part 3)

Deploy

We want to see servant-leaders in the San Joaquin Valley renewing communities and people with the gospel and expanding the church by launching and igniting reproducing churches. We will do this by:

Deploying Servant-Leaders: We will give ownership and leadership of our various ministries to reproducing servant-leaders.


What we hope to do as a church (reproduce other churches) we hope to do on an individual level (reproduce other leaders). Discovering and developing leaders should naturally lead to deploying them into leadership. Of course, this doesn't always happen but it needs to be reality. Our vision is bigger than any one person and any one leadership team. Because of the vision our leadership "team" needs to grow and give birth to more leaders.

This also goes back to the reality that Christ leads his church and raises up leaders from his people to be "under-shepherds." We want to be sensitive to the work of the Holy Spirit in the calling and equipping of these leaders. This mission to Bakersfield is not about Shawn Carpenter, or even the initial church that gets planted. This mission is about Jesus Christ and as we follow him, we will release his under-shepherds to do his ministry. We want to see him glorified, not ourselves.
